Fabrication Works

Overview

Fabrication covers structural steel and plate work made to your drawings: columns, beams, trusses, purlins, platforms, staircases, handrails, gratings, ducting, chutes, hoppers, tanks and supports. Cutting, drilling, fit-up, welding, grinding and surface finishing are carried out in the workshop where the job allows, and at site where the item has to be built in place. Material grade, weld procedure and finish follow what is specified for the job.

Capabilities

  • Structural steel fabrication — columns, beams, trusses, purlins

  • Plate work — hoppers, chutes, ducts, tanks and liners

  • Repair and modification of existing steelwork

Approach

  1. 01

    Drawing review

We work from your fabrication drawings and confirm sections, grades, weld details and tolerances before cutting.

  2. 02

    Material and cutting

Material is marked, cut and prepared to the cutting list, with offcuts kept to a minimum.

  3. 03

    Fit-up and welding

Assemblies are fitted, checked for alignment and welded to the specified procedure.

  4. 04

    Finishing and despatch

Welds are cleaned, surfaces prepared and painted as specified, then items are marked and despatched or moved to site.
